THIS IS A DEAD LINK If this link is broken, please replace it. You may visit the original link here Standing at the edge of an abandoned house, you could look out at all of humanity. It was a vast wasteland. Abandoned towns and cities as far as the eye could see. Whole nations capitulated to fear and anger and were now devoid of life, or rotting with those who survived - left over from before humanity unravelled itself in the name of international conflict...The world's infrastructures collapsed one by one: food production and distribution systems ended first, then power grids followed too soon after, quickly followed by waste treatment plants that polluted water supplies for millions before they stopped functioning altogether. The world's population fell from around seven billion to less than a billion in a matter of months. Now, thirteen years after the 'outbreak', civilization has begun to re-emerge from the chaos that followed the outbreak. The dead walk again, but this time armed with intent and guided by inhuman cognition. In Pennsylvania, an army base still operates and trains soldiers in combat against the undead: training replicates real-world situations and conditions and has been honed to keep one soldier alive for every ten zombies killed -the chances of surviving a zombie encounter outside of these training grounds is almost zero... The name of the base is Fort Saunders. And that's where this story begins. __________________________________Plot: 7/10Zombieland was a great movie where the plot was fast but still had a purpose, World War Z is a little different, in that it has a long gloomy beginning which sort of sheds light on how humanity really got to its feet again, after the pandemic outbreak. The length of this film maybe could have been shortened a little bit...The scenes were well-positioned and executed quite well... But... The scenes were too much depressing and sometimes dragged-out to give meaning to them. The story itself was decent, but not mindblowing or amazing enough. The only parts that were really well done was the parts in which people are trying to survive, or where they are coping with their new life post-apocalypse. And the bits where our main protagonist was talking about his life before the outbreak. Some parts where the movie dragged on could have been cut down a little bit.... It really did drag on for too long...Soundtrack: 7/10I didn't pay attention to this while I watched it... But I can't imagine how boring it would've been without an excellent soundtrack! The music made all of the scenes that much more depressing.... If I had a soundtrack that was as depressing as this one, it would've been a great movie for me to watch!Acting: 7/10Brad Pitt was the perfect choice for the main protagonist of this film. He did a good job portraying his character's emotions and thoughts. Gael Garcia Bernal also played a good role, even though he looked extremely bored throughout the majority of his scene-time... But still managed to deliver his lines well...Mireille Enos was alright as the female lead character, but I didn't feel that much chemistry with her.... cfa1e77820
